The public notice from the St Luke's reads:
St Luke’s General Hospital Carlow/Kilkenny have cancelled all outpatient appointments for Wednesday and Thursday of this week due to the ongoing adverse weather and road conditions. Further review for Friday appointments will be made later this week.
We continue to ask the public to please check https://www2.hse.ie/services/disruptions/ where we will update any additional changes to services. Patients can also check our social media channels and we will continue to update local and regional media.
Despite the extremely difficult conditions in some parts of the region, we would urge anyone requiring urgent emergency care to attend their local Emergency Department for treatment. As always, our Emergency Departments provide emergency care to patients 24/ 7.
